Would anyone here be interested in a MUD?

For those who do not know, a MUD is a massively multiplayer online text adventure. It features most of the featured of modern mmorpg’s, it just uses the most powerful graphics card of all: your imagination!

Enough being cheesy, would anyone play it? I would be taking users from the forums for staff, and creating it around the wishes of the playbook community.

I would host it on my server, and leave the options open for donating for server costs.

However, I do not want to spend the resourves if no one will play it, so honest opinions, please.

Has anybody here on Tmobile have experience with a warranty claim through this insurance? I’ve read online that if your phone is lost they make you file a police report before even qualifying for a replacement and even so it would be a refurbished unit.

What about accidental damage claims?

I had it put on 2 of our lines during the Valentine’s day special weekend but I’m tempted to remove it once I get my rebates back.

When my playbook isn’t connected to wifi it is my understanding that when I click on the Internet browser it should bridge my playbook with my phone. I have both bluetooths turned on(playbook and curve 9370). For some reason the only way I can use bridge is by actually going into the bridge folder and selecting one of the icons such as messages,tasks etc. Then it connects to bridge. Once I’m connected to bridge I have to exit out of it then go to my Internet browser and click on it. I just find it really annoying because if I just wanna go right into the Internet browser using bridge I have to open up a bridge icon first to connect. If my wifi signal is not on and I click on Internet browser itshould connect me via bridge and it simply doesnt. Does anyone else have this problem

The above message popped up on my iMac after the latest version of BB desktop software froze (for at least 15 minutes) while attempting to sync my contacts, all options were greyed out while it was attempting to sync except for the blue progress bar in BB Desktop. After 20 mins all I could do was pull the USB from the phone which led to the warning. The message continued “You can still open or copy files on the disk but you can’t save changes to files on the disk”. Back up the disk and reformat it as soon as you can”.

Blackberry 1 is not the media card, which shows up as Blackberry 2 on Mac’s Finder. BB 1 is the phone’s internal memory itself. On the phone I’ve located under Options how to format the phone’s internal storage. My data is backed up by Desktop software but I’m concerned to proceed in case I muck the whole thing up – can anyone give me guidance please? As the warning came up on the iMac, I am wondering if this warning refers to the Mac hard-drive rather than the Bold internal memory?

(Phone is Bold 9900, BB OS7, i-Mac running OSX Lion, latest version of Desktop software downloaded yesterday (when the problem arose) Phone and computer both appear to be working ok as does my BB tablet)

Loving the new Remote feature on the BB/PB. I actually synced up my 9900 with my computer via Bluetooth and activated the remote control feature, and low and behold, it worked! Just had to ensure that the appropriate services were enabled.

HOWEVER, after using this feature once, I have been unable to get it working again. It just says “connecting…” in the remote app, even though I’m connected via Bluetooth. I tried it on my laptop as well, and again, it worked the first time but not a second time.

Anyone have any idea what’s going on? PC is running Vista, laptop running Win 7.

Ok, so I’m posting this after I’ve successfully installed my first App using the DDPB Installer doing some sideways thing a ma bobber and I’ve got to say MAN THAT WAS EASY.

A little about myself and my PB. I purchased my Playbook late August last year. I waited that long after release to see if some of the bugs would get worked out. My main purpose for the PB was to take pictures at work and to use the PB to show clients videos of the type of work we do. After all it’s some high res video. I’ve taken a tone of pictures and some good videos but haven’t gotten around to editing them.

It’s also a good unit to view my daily appointment sheets sent from the office in PDF file format. Also we are now able to start doing estimates via email because clients are sending us pictures and the office can then forward those emails to me and I can view the pictures on the PB. All the other stuff that comes with it is bonus for me. I’ve read all about what wasn’t added or what’s missing or this app or that app and bla, bla, bla, bla, but for me…I didn’t need any of that. In fact I still don’t. I’ve played around with a friends iPad and it was great fun. I’m sure other tablets are just as fun.

Then the prices dropped and I took that opportunity to buy another 64GB for a co-worker who will be doing the same type of job description as I’m doing. Sending pictures via the BBM was another bonus.

It erks me to hear what people think about RIM and the troubles they’re in. I mean…REALLY? But that’s not what this post is about. But then again, maybe it is because what people don’t know is how great this little piece of technology is to my work and to my workers. There may be a lot still missing and when it arrives…BONUS FOR ME…but for now it has helped my business and is a great tool to use. I’ve made thousands of dollars in sales because I take out this little glass windowed object out of my pocket and start talking about the process of our work and show some pictures and the clients are always blown away. Imagine when I get around to editing those videos and they’ll be able to see the process in HD? WOW.

Now I’ve got my PB all organized with folders and it’s perfect. Maybe it would be nice to have other stuff to organize things a little more in the picture department (for slideshows) but then again, now that I can get some Apps, I’m going to see what I can find.

So thanks RIM. Thanks Crackberry gang and thanks to the folks that make the Apps.

Just wondering if I’m the only one to think that but seriously pb keyboard went from the crappiest to the freaking more awesome virtual keyboard? Size is perfect. Word prediction isso fun to use. Points and capital letters automated. One thing it could improve though is the fact that I’m missing space bar so often then detect two words and separate them. But seriously I’m just writing here so I can use it. “seriously”

I guess this deserve a very warm congratulations to rim team. Hope they get all those because they need and deserve it for all the crap they get over the last year
